In February 2022, a team from TML took on the 'Walking the Monopoly Board' challenge to raise money for Farleigh Hospice in recognition of the care received there by a colleague.

Monopoly Walk 1

The walk began at the Tower of London (Jail), and the first stop was Old Kent Road. Returning to the north of the river, there were a number of locations to tick off in quick succession, including Fleet Street, the Strand and Piccadilly. The West End was back to pre-Covid tourist levels, all enjoying the beautiful late winter sun.

The last half dozen stops were more spread out, so the pace increased, and Marylebone Station, Euston Road, Kings Cross, and Angel were all visited before doubling back to Liverpool Street, Whitechapel and Fenchurch Street Station to finish the tour.

Monopoly 7

It was a tiring day, which covered almost twenty miles (nearly 50,000 steps). It was fascinating to discover parts of London we had never seen before.

Monopoly 10

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, £4,000 was raised for Farleigh Hospice, a sum that will be increased with Triland’s contribution to £10,000.

This will pay for an electric bed, garden furniture for patients and visitors and a fan for the children’s bereavement counselling room.
